…APRIL IS TSUNAMI AWARENESS MONTH IN HAWAII… EACH YEAR…DURING THE MONTH OF APRIL…THE STATE OF HAWAII MARKS TSUNAMI AWARENESS MONTH. THROUGHOUT THE MONTH FEDERAL…STATE…AND LOCAL AGENCIES SPREAD TSUNAMI SAFETY MESSAGES ALL AROUND THE STATE. TSUNAMI DRILLS ARE HELD BY STATE AND LOCAL OFFICIALS AND EMERGENCY PLANS CONTINUE TO BE REVIEWED.  

YOUR NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE IN HONOLULU WILL BE SHARING TSUNAMI RELATED SAFETY INFORMATION THROUGHOUT THE MONTH. INFORMATION WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE WEB AT WWW.WEATHER.GOV/HAWAII…VIA NOAA WEATHER RADIO…AND THROUGH OUR OFFICE FACEBOOK PAGE FOUND AT HTTP://WWW.FACEBOOK.COM/US.NATIONALWEATHERSERVICE.HONOLULU.GOV. SAFETY INFORMATION TOPICS INCLUDE:
