ITST-Chile Tsunami Questionnaires

The Tsunami Questionnaire is comprehensive and requires a person with technical experience to fill out. Scientists should fill out this questionnaire, or use it as a guide, to ensure they don’t forget to collect anything. They may fill out only a portion of the questionnaire based on their study research interest. We have tried to not alter much its format/content for Chile as we would like to use this as a standard tool for all surveys.  The intent is to distribute to scientist teams surveying in Indonesia.

The Eyewitness Survey is a survey that can be used to interview eyewitnesses or other layman. It is more general and seeks to capture what they saw and how they reacted. The intent is to apply it immediately to as many people as possible.

We ask that you return the Questionnaire and Survey to UNESCO IOC Jakarta Tsunami Information Centre (JTIC) or ITIC for compilation, or to provide a summary of your compilations in a report.
