ITP-Hawaii Participants

This page gives a summary of countries receiving ITP-Hawaii training, and lists past participants to ITP-Hawaii.  ITIC established its training program in 1974.  Between 1974 and 2000, it was known as the ITIC Visiting Scientist Program  where country staff were resident at ITIC to work on projects for several weeks or more.  It was renamed after 2001 to the ITIC Training Program (ITP) as 2-week training program on the operational aspects of a tsunami early warning system.  Since the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, interest and attendance increased from ~2 persons to as much as 36 in 2023.
